3 year stats:
Height: 38 1/2 in. tall
Weight: 33lbs.
Wearing size 3T clothes and between 8 and 9 shoe
Still napping at least 2 hours every day (love it)
Getting more and more of an attitude every day. I think your 3's are gonna be a lot more challenging than the "terrible 2's" which weren't actually bad at all for us.
You remember everything and can recall conversations and incidences from more than a month ago.
You still eat just about anything we put in front of you. No picky eating yet. Yay!
You are a very loving boy
You know what to say to get yourself out of trouble, or an extended bedtime (mom and dad are pushovers)
Fully potty trained day and night! You don't like going potty but you know you have to.
I can't believe that your 3rd birthday has already come and gone! Your actual birthday didn't get much attention. It was in the middle of the week this year so it was tough for people to make it to a party and dad had to stay late at work for inventory. Kim and I tried to make it fun by taking you and Mya and Logan to Arctic Circle and letting you guys play for about two hours and later when dad got home he and I took you out to ice cream. You got to pick whatever flavor you wanted....you picked cotton candy with chocolate sprinkles.
You didn't seem to mind that we didn't do gifts or a party that day until we were on our way home from ice cream you asked me where you birthday was. I was feeling horrible all day long that we weren't doing anything...and I know you wouldn't have known any different if I hadn't told you it was your birthday that day....but I couldn't not at least tell you happy birthday and how much I love you on your day.....we made up for it all that weekend though. We had a party and all your favorite people were there...even all of your uncles from Utah.
you opened lots and lots of gifts
and uncle Druz brought a fishing pole so you could fish for your presents.
Bryan bought you a balloon launcher that was a big hit
you blew out your candles
and thought the owl cupcakes I made were pretty fun
Mom and Dad even bought you your very own "iPad". It's really a children's leap pad but you call it an ipad and seem really happy with it.
You had a great day and were very spoiled.
We love you so much baby boy and can't imagine our lives without you. You bring so much happiness and laughter to us every day, and even though you are starting to be a little more naughty here and there you are mostly a very good boy....and daddy and I need the lessons that you will teach us just as much as you need the ones we will teach you this coming year. I know you will be an AMAZING big brother to your little sister because of your kindness and loving personality. Love you baby boy. Happy Birthday!

Halloween 2012
You had fun with Halloween this year. Last year you didn't really understand what was going on but this year you got it and you had a great time trick-or-treating. We met up with Crockett's at "Grandpa Mels" house and had chili there and then went trick or treating in their neighborhood. You loved running around with Mya and knocking on peoples doors...but when they answered you would only stand there. You wouldn't say "trick-or-treat" but when they gave you candy you always said thank you.
Yoda and Cinderella
cute Yoda
After that we went up to see Grandma Patti and Grandpa Ron and by then you kids were ready to be done for the night. So you broke out the water colors and we hung out there for a while.
This is your scary face these days.
By the time we got home that night you were super tired and had no problem going right to sleep. Whew!

Looking Back
My big boy....you keep me so busy lately that I never even think to update your little blog anymore. I need to be better because I quickly forget about the little things that are so important in our daily lives. Like this....I was looking through some pictures and found these pictures of your first "big" owee
This happened back in May. You were outside playing with dad in the driveway and tripped over your feet. You caught yourself with your face. Poor kiddo. I hate when you get hurt....I always want to take your pain away. It didn't take too long for you to get back to your smiley self though.
You loved iced tea, sno cones, and golfing this summer
And just about a month ago we took a trip to Utah to go to the zoo and Lagoon with the Crocketts and Grandpa Kevin and Amanda.
I think you liked the zoo best.
You loved watching the seals swim and dive.
You had a lot of fun on the carrousel too.
The next day we went to Lagoon. You had fun but didn't want to ride very many rides
You loved this ride though. Last year you hated it...so I guess that's progress.
You were willing to go on all the more mellow rides
You won this stuffed dog all by yourself playing mini golf....you were so proud.
My goodness I love you!

Just a little catching up
Where has the time gone? It's been forever since I updated anything about you. You are now closer to three than two and I can't believe how big and smart you are! You talk in full scentences and carry on conversations with us every day. You remember everything we say and do and can tell us all about it days and days later. Lately you have a hard time minding and doing as mom and dad ask so we have to take privligaes away and that always makes you sad. Your favorite activity lately is playing water balloons, you ask to play every night. But we haven't been able to play lately because you forget to obey.
In July you went to your first dentist appointment. I was dreading it thinking that you would cry and be scared. But you suprised me and hopped right up in that chair and opened your mouth wide and did great!
They said your teeth look good and we have another cleaning appointment in January! So proud of you.
This summer you have had a lot of fun just playing.
We've played outside
You got to play the drums and a birthday party
We've been out to eat
And we've played with Mya
It's been a full summer of go go go and you've loved every minuet of it.
We also recently started potty training. I have to be honest....I think this the thing I wanted to do least as a parent of a little one....but you really just took right to it! One weekend we had Jeremy and Jenny stay overnight with their girls. Ashlynn is a bit younger than you and was already potty trained....you saw her do it and when they left you were ready! We have only had a few accidents since and you are aleeping through the night and naps with no accidents!!! Yay!
Thomas the Train undies!
You are silly and you know it. You do and say all kinds of things just to get a laugh. Most of the time it's putting something on your head...you can always make me smile.
you tell is this is how aunt Amanda dances. Haha
And the biggest news of the summer is that you are going to be a big brother! You seem to be excited about this and tell us that you want to have a sister "just like Mya"
I know that there is plenty that I've missed with the update and I'll try to do better keeping up in the future. I sure do love you my little boy.
