learning and growing

I think it's official....you have said your first word! It was of course...daddy. You've been saying dada for months but it was just baby babble, but as of lately you say daddy and you know who he is. Last night we watched from the window as daddy was plowing the driveway, then we went into the livingroom to play, and you crawled back to the window and stood up and said "daddy?".  You can also say "doggie", (but it sounds a lot like "daddy") and bottle (but you say "dodle"). You try to say almost anying that we say...including "thank you", "please" and "uhoh" . You won't say mommy tho...you can say mama, but not in reference to me...just when you are babbling.
You are really close to walking, you can take about 3 steps on your own, but you don't do it often. You got a walker for your birthday and you will walk with that, but sometimes you get going to fast and fall.
You are almost a master at going up and down stairs. You will get yourself turned around to go down backwards, but every once in a while you will try to turn around and see how many more stairs you have to go, and if someone isn't right there you will topple down. Going up isn't a problem...you are fast and love to go up and down up and down.
When we took you to the doctor last week he told us to start weaning you off of your bottles and start you on whole milk, you are doing pretty well with fewer bottles, but you do not like milk. You spit it out every time I try to give some to you. But I'll keep trying till you take it.
You are getting so big and learning so many new things! I love you!
