My Big Boy

You have really grown up these last few weeks. You have decided that you only need one nap a day now, that makes grandma precious and me sad. We loved that you would take two 2 hour naps, it gave us time to get things done.  August 6th you were invited to Tate's (my cousin Brooke's little boy) first birthday party. It was a water party so we took your swimsuit and you played in the water all day and had a blast! As I was taking some pictures I noticed how big and independant you had become.

This last weekend you took a very big step to becomeing a full blown toddler. You learned to climb out for your crib! The first time it happened I was getting ready for work, and daddy was staying home with you...you started to make sounds in your room so dad went to get you up, and you were already sitting on the floor by your bedroom door! And on Saturday night when we tried to put you to bed, you wouldn't stay in the crib, so at 10:30pm daddy took the front rail off your crib and tuned it into a toddler bed! It was a bit of a rough night trying to get you to sleep, but at 2:00 in the morning you finally drifted off for a full 6 hours. Sunday morning you kept talking about your "big boy bed", but when it came time to nap you were too excited to be able to get out of bed and play in your room that there was no nap taken at all. But last night we put you to bed, and I only had to go into your room once to lay by you and rub your back. You were asleep by 10 and slept all night long! Hopefully you continue to sleep well in your "new" bed.
I wasn't really ready for this step already, You are truly a toddler and not my baby boy anymore.
